Returns and Refund Policy – The Antique Forager
Last updated: August 2026
Every item sold by The Antique Forager is a carefully selected, one-off antique or vintage piece. Signs of age, previous use and minor imperfections are often part of an object’s history and character.
We describe each item as accurately as possible and provide detailed photographs. Please examine the description and photographs carefully before purchasing and contact us if you would like further information.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights.
Changing your mind
If you purchase an item online and change your mind, you must tell us that you wish to cancel within 14 days of receiving your order.
Please email info@antiqueforager.com, preferably including your order number. You do not have to give a reason for cancelling.
After notifying us, you then have a further 14 days to return the item.
The item must be securely packaged and returned in the condition in which it was received. You may examine the item as you reasonably would in a shop. We may reduce the refund if the item’s value has been diminished by handling beyond what was necessary to examine it.
You are responsible for the direct cost of returning an unwanted item. Because our pieces are unique, we strongly recommend using a tracked and appropriately insured postal service and retaining proof of postage.
Refunds for change-of-mind returns
We will refund the price paid for the item and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option, where a separate delivery charge was paid.
For UK orders, standard postage is normally included in the item price, so there will usually be no separate outward postage charge to refund.
If you selected a more expensive or enhanced delivery service, we are not required to refund the additional cost above our standard delivery option.
Refunds will be made using the original payment method. We aim to process refunds within three working days of receiving the returned item, and no later than 14 days after we receive the item or evidence that it has been sent back, whichever occurs first.
Faulty, damaged or incorrectly described items
Antique and vintage items naturally show signs of age, but every item must still match its description and be of satisfactory quality, taking account of its age, price and description.
If an item arrives damaged, is faulty or differs materially from its description, please contact info@antiqueforager.com as soon as possible. Include your order number and, where relevant, clear photographs of the item and its packaging.
Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, you may be entitled to reject the item for a full refund or request another appropriate remedy.
Because our stock consists mainly of one-off pieces, an identical replacement will rarely be possible. We will therefore discuss the available remedy with you promptly and fairly.
Where an item is faulty, damaged on arrival or not as described, The Antique Forager will cover the reasonable cost of returning it.
