An original Victorian “Book of Common Prayer”, printed at the Oxford University Press, London, 1863, and published by Charles Cumberlege & Sons.
This beautiful miniature religious book is bound in dark brown tooled leather with ornate brass corner mounts and page-edge protectors. The spine features raised bands, and the pages have aged to a rich sepia tone, showing natural wear consistent with age.
Inside, the title page reads “The Book of Common Prayer and Administration of the Sacraments... together with the Psalms of David”. A small handwritten name and address slip, and an ink inscription “G. Brett” remain inside—adding to its historical charm and provenance.
