Here we have a burgundy leather bound antique Church Services common prayer book with gilt metal fastener 1849
There is a hand written personal inscription on the inside cover that reads:
"Presented to Alfred Robert Carthew by his Grandmother Miss Emma French, in commemoration of his baptism at Euminster Church July 4th 1869.... etc"
This book was printed by University Press and clearly dated 1849
The brass/gilt metal fastener works perfectly- the book has a gilt edge to the pages and measures 9.5x6.5x4cm
Overall this book is in very good condition
