This lovely piece of fine English silver is 217 years old!!

Born in 1773, Joseph Willmore was the grandson of Thomas Willmore, an original member of the Birmingham Assay Office since its establishment in 1773. Thomas first mark was used between 1773 and 1801, in partnership with James Alston, though they were both in fact independent, with Willmore being a buckle maker and Alston being a button maker.

This is a very fine Vinaigrette hallmarked for Birmingham 1807 & bears the makers mark for Joseph Willmore.

Beautifully crafted with gilded interior & engraved geometric floral pierced grill. Perfect grill & lid closure. Both hinges are in perfect condition & as you can see from the detailed

pictures condition is very good given the age with outside wear pictured & a small loss to the centre of the grill.

Complete with the original interior sponge.

Size: 34mm x 24mm x 5mm & weighs: 15.7 grams.
