This is a lovely set of antique sardine tongs or servers in the shape of a sardine fish in good condition
Good condition with light usage marks, naturally tarnished.
These antique silver plated sardine tongs feature ends shaped and decorated in a stylized image of a sardine. The tongs bear an unidentified maker's mark on the interior of one handle but look to be late 19th century
Sardine tongs were commonly used in the 19th and early 20th centuries for serving sardines, a popular delicacy during that time.
