A Victorian ladies burr walnut, mother of pearl and abalone combination tri fold writing slope and beauty box c 1880
Here we have a Victorian ladies burr walnut, mother of pearl and abalone combination tri fold writing slope and beauty box c 1880
This is a lovely example and quite unusual in that it folds out three times to reveal the actual slope and a load of hidden compartments for a lady of the period.
Included are original nail scissors, cuticle and nail file etc plus a card with Miss Tatters 3 St Martins Road Knowle Bristol on it - likely to be the original owners name and address
The slope itself is covered in soft green velvet, the hinges are all original and in good order, there is an original key and the beautiful inlaid brass and mother of pearl is in fantastic order.
