An antique carved black forest boot form desk ink well 12x7cm

The intricate carving to form the laces, sock and stitching are really very impressive.
We believe this hand carved inkwell was made in the later 1800s and is in really nice condition, the hinges are good but the glass inkwell insert is absent.
The wood carved boot measures 12cm long, 5.5cm wide, and 7cm tall at the heel.
There is historic patina at the extremities a sure sign of its provenance.
