An Uncommon Winged Women's Junior Air Corps Badge by J.R Gaunt of London 6cm wide
Here we have an uncommon winged Women's Junior Air Corps badge by J.R Gaunt of London 6cm wide
The Womens Junior Air Corps (WJAC) was a voluntary youth organization in the United Kingdom for girls aged between 14 and 18. It was established in 1939 as part of the National Association of Training Corps for Girls, which was responsible for the Girls Training Corps (GTC), Girls Nautical Training Corps (GNTC), and WJAC 12.
The WJAC provided training and activities in similar areas as the GTC and GNTC, including drill, morse code, marksmanship, physical training, first aid, motor maintenance, and aircraft recognition
The enamel is in good condition but the brass is showing through on the wings
