A fine boxed set of six antique silver-handled knives by Henry Greaves, Sheffield, dated 1914. Each handle is made from solid sterling silver, clearly hallmarked with the lion passant, Sheffield crown, date letter W for 1914, and maker’s mark HG.
The knives have polished stainless steel blades and elegant Edwardian silver handles. Measuring approximately 18 cm in length, they come in their original fitted presentation box, lined with cream silk and velvet. The set weighs a total of 167 grams, including the silver handles.
This beautifully preserved set is a superb example of early 20th-century Sheffield silversmithing. Ideal for collectors, or as a refined addition to an antique dining service.
