An antique English pewter pouring pint tankard dating to circa 1870, exhibiting hand-wrought construction and traditional tavern-ware characteristics.

This piece features a functional pouring lip opposite a heavy cast handle, with a cylindrical body defined by formal reeded banding.

The exterior is hand-engraved with an owner's script monogram of initials "JHB" within traditional scrollwork. The upper rim carries the capacity stamp "PINT" alongside an official crown verification mark enclosing the royal cypher "VR" (Victoria Regina), confirming its legal status during the Victorian period (1837–1901).

While the crown verification stamp places the piece broadly within the Victorian era, the script monogram style and hand-formed reeded body align with production circa 1870. The base bears hand-engraved inscriptions. The profile demonstrates period-typical contour irregularities to the rim resulting from active tavern use.
