A true original piece of hand made American folk art - the windmill drives a series of mental linkages which in turn makes the man chop the wood
These are all one off pieces made from what was lying around on a farm etc so completely original
This example is from the early 20th century and whilst the farmer and the windmill itself are all on the edge of collapse this would work really well to scare the birds off your veg patch with some repairs and perhaps paintwork or to just have a lovely thing to look at indoors or out
This is a piece best admired indoors as it would not cope with continuous hard wind - it is in well used condition as per the images but can be made to work mechanically or at least you can see the way it is supposed to work
This would look great as a centre piece or part of some ones whirligig collection
We are not sure all the pieces shown even belong to this main whirligig but with some additional parts and replacements this has potential and is priced accordingly
