This lovely old box contains 5 separate smaller boxes for storing and carrying spices about -Likely a chefs and totally lockable with the addition of a padlock to protect the valuable contents
Tins are marked with original lettering for Mace, Cinnamon, Nutmeg etc
There is evidence of ware all over the tins and box and light rust but all function well - I have see these in tower form and all usually made form wood not many in metal except for the really early ones.
This could now have many uses as it is strong, secure and sealed - Jewellery box, keep sakes box, coin collection box, collectors box, seeds box etc
