Antique Cobbler's wooden shoe last or form with original leather

These are wooden forms used by a shoe maker to repeat make an identical leather shoe or boot. 

These are a close pair but not matching -

One is sized 9 marked W6005M and stamped R Whitton 'The last Man' Northampton. Made somewhere between 1936 and 1960 when Whitton's Last Works was operating in Newbridge - they have a maple body and metal sole plate

The second a very similar form is marked 6704 with similar leather patches, made from maple with metal sole plate, both look to be hinged but I can't move the hinge on them

 Condition is clearly seen in the images
