A characterful antique German Ankerlicht (anchor light), crafted in copper with its original thick ribbed glass lens and internal burner still intact. These compact working lights were designed for small vessels and harbour craft, made to emit a steady 360° glow while anchored at night.
This example retains a wonderful untouched patina, with natural verdigris around the joints and a deep, warm glow to the copper surface. The embossed ANKERLICHT cartouche is crisp and clear, and the lantern opens fully to reveal its removable burner with original globe and wick stem.
