Antique English “Unique” Universal Slide Rules – Boxed Pair with Original Instructions (c.1930s–1950s)

A superb pair of British-made “Unique” Universal Slide Rules, complete with their original maroon card cases and the accompanying Half-Hour Instructions booklet. These finely detailed early–mid 20th-century calculating instruments feature multiple logarithmic and trigonometric scales, printed with crisp black numerals on ivorine-style celluloid facings and mounted on hardwood bodies.

Both rules retain their clear celluloid cursor windows and slide smoothly. The reverse sides carry additional printed conversion tables including computations for weights, measures, angles and specialist numerical data — all typical of Unique branded slide rules produced in England for engineering, surveying and financial calculations.

This boxed set, especially with both rules present and the fragile instructional leaflet surviving, is a highly desirable collector’s group. Perfect for display in a scientific, engineering or vintage office setting, or for collectors of early calculating devices.
