A beautifully preserved antique Negretti & Zambra aneroid wall barometer, made in England and presented in its original circular oak case. Measuring 19cm in diameter, it features a brushed silvered dial, elegant gothic-style lettering (“Stormy”, “Rain”, “Change”, “Fair”, “Very Dry”), and delicately shaped blued-steel hands.
This early 20th-century example (serial no. 13889) is a classic Negretti & Zambra production—precise, well-engineered and designed for domestic reliability. The solid oak surround has a warm, even patina; the brass bezel retains its aged golden tone. A wonderful decorative and functional piece for hallways, studies or seaside homes.
