A vintage Indian carved hardwood folding occasional table, featuring pierced foliate carving and a central bone inlaid floral medallion.
The circular top is carved with scrolling flowers within a raised border, surrounded by bold pierced leafwork to the outer edge. The centre retains its bone inlaid floral motif set within a carved roundel.
The base comprises three hinged carved supports with open foliate panels and shaped feet. The table dismantles by lifting off the top and folding the base flat, making it practical for storage or display.
Stamped “IND” to the underside, indicating manufacture for export in the early to mid 20th century.
Decorative and well suited to bohemian, colonial or maximalist interiors.
