An antique Japanese brass bowl dating from around 1900–1930, hand-raised with a gently rounded profile and decorated with small cloisonné enamel floral roundels spaced around the exterior. The bowl has a naturally aged brown surface with areas of green copper patina, and the interior retains the hand-beaten swirl marks typical of early 20th-century Japanese metalwork.

The enamel medallions are applied in the traditional cloisonné technique, each formed with fine wire cloisons and filled with coloured enamel, here in a yellow and white stylised flower design. Decorative bowls of this type were produced in the late Meiji and Taishō periods both for domestic use and for export, valued for their understated form and small hand-finished details.
