An antique Japanese brass bowl dating from around 1900–1930, hand-raised with a gently rounded profile and decorated with small cloisonné enamel floral roundels spaced around the exterior. The bowl has a naturally aged brown surface with areas of green copper patina, and the interior retains the hand-beaten swirl marks typical of early 20th-century Japanese metalwork.
The enamel medallions are applied in the traditional cloisonné technique, each formed with fine wire cloisons and filled with coloured enamel, here in a yellow and white stylised flower design.
