A fine early 20th-century Royal Doulton salt-glazed stoneware jug, model no. 2679, dating from around 1902–1922. The jug features a rich two-tone glaze in chocolate brown and warm ochre, decorated in relief with a lively tavern and rural scene including figures, windmill, and cottage details.

The jug is well modelled with a ribbed handle and acanthus leaf terminal, typical of Doulton Lambeth craftsmanship of the Edwardian period. The interior is glazed, and the piece bears the impressed Royal Doulton England mark with crown and lion, along with the model number 2679.
