A beautifully matched pair of early 20th-century wooden Indian clubs, traditionally used for strength training, calisthenics and physical culture exercises. These long, elegant clubs are hand-turned with tapered handles, bulbous heads and double incised rings, all characteristic of classic gymnasium equipment from the late Victorian to interwar period.
The wood has developed a warm golden tone with a rich, tactile patina. Areas of historic surface wear, small knocks and handling marks all contribute to their authentic, well-used look. Despite their original functional purpose, Indian clubs are now highly sought after as sculptural decorative objects—excellent for display in home gyms, studios and vintage interiors.
