A very stand out piece of  Art Deco opalescent glass attributed to Samuel Reich & Co., Czechoslovakia, circa 1930s. This highly decorative piece features three charming elf figures moulded in relief, forming the supports of the bowl, surrounded by stylised floral decoration in pressed opalescent glass.

The glass displays the distinctive blue–white fire opal effect typical of Reich’s work, catching the light beautifully with iridescent tones. With its sculptural form and playful yet elegant design, this bowl reflects the finest qualities of Czech Art Deco glass production and is often compared to French contemporaries such as Lalique and Sabino.

  • Maker: Samuel Reich & Co., Czechoslovakia

  • Date: circa 1930s

  • Material: Pressed opalescent glass

  • Dimensions: 26 cm diameter × 8.5 cm tall

  • Condition: Very good vintage condition, light age-related wear only, very tiny nibbles to the elves collars and no cracks.

A superb decorative bowl, perfect as a collector’s piece, Art Deco interior accent, or as a statement centrepiece for the dining or display table.
