A hand-thrown British studio pottery raku vase, displaying the characteristic copper-matte surface achieved through post-reduction firing. The form is compact and rounded with a narrow raised collar at the rim, and the surface shows a layered blend of deep greens, burnt orange, plum and smoky black. The finish has the textured, slightly pitted appearance typical of traditional raku processes.

The base carries an impressed “3S” stamp, a mark used by an unidentified small-batch British studio potter. The circular stamp style and raku firing method are consistent with late 20th-century independent craft production. A swirling fingerprint texture is present within the foot, likely formed during handling at the reduction stage.
10cm tall.

A well-executed example of British raku ware with strong colour development and good firing control.

Condition
🌿 Light wear to the base from handling.
🌿 No cracks, hairlines or structural issues.
