This very elegant George V solid silver tea caddy has a simple and beautiful oval outline with reeded base and rim. There is a hinged lid and elegant cone-shaped finial. It has an excellent silver gauge and feels satisfyingly heavy when picked up.
James Dixon and Sons were established in 1806 in Sheffield, were one of the major British manufacturers of the Industrial revolution. They were manufacturers of pewterware, electroplated Britannia metal, silverware and electroplated nickel silver
Clear hallmarks, measures 13x11cm and weighs 260g
