Hip Flask by James Dixon - Pewter & Silver Plated Vintage Collectable

This is a vintage James Dixon hip flask, distinguished by its pewter and silver-plated construction.

The underside has the James Dixon mark, numbered 1382B, and marked Sheffield.

Historically, James Dixon & Sons was a renowned silversmith and pewterware manufacturer based in Sheffield, England, and operated from 1806 until the 1980s. Their products were highly regarded for quality and craftsmanship.

This hip flask is typically used for carrying small quantities of liquor discreetly

Made from silver plate and pewter, the combination of these materials provides durability and a classic aesthetic.
The flask exhibits signs of use, such as natural tarnishing and surface marks, which add to its vintage character. The tarnish can be polished away should you wish. It appears to have a very small leak from the lid when vigorously shaken but easily fixed with a bit of plumbers tape or similar.
12.5cm tall - The flask shows marks indicative of age and usage, with natural tarnishing. There is denting (only a couple of very small ones ) and scratching to the lid and body.
