A large and decorative gilt mantel clock with an ornate case, enamel dial and pendulum movement.
The clock features seated classical figures, pierced scrollwork decoration and hand-painted floral porcelain panels. It houses a pendulum movement and retains the internal mechanism, although the clock has not been tested and is therefore sold strictly as a restoration or display piece.
The crest to the top has become detached and will require repair or reattachment. The case also shows wear to the gilt finish consistent with age and use.
The wooden base has pencil inscriptions including what appears to read "Louis XVI Vase", together with impressed initials DS and manufacturing numbers. No maker's name or retailer's mark has been found despite inspection of the movement and case.
An interesting decorative clock that would suit restoration or display.

The movement appears complete and includes the pendulum, but the clock has not been checked for operation. The ornate top crest is detached and requires repair.
