Ornate hand carved book slide shelf 33.5cm long c1870
This we believe started life as a slide book shelf with fold down ends nut now acts a s a lovely ornate shelf,, the way the wall hanging brackets are positioned means that now you get to se all that lovely carving. The lid still slides and it could be turned back into a fold away bookslide should you wish
Made of hardwood this is quite a tough object. It's has been carved by an experienced hand at the end of the 19th century
