A pair of mid-century modern cased glass goblets in a deep smoke grey with substantial clear glass bases.
These well-made glasses have a clean, understated design typical of Scandinavian and British glass produced during the mid-20th century. The dark smoke grey casing appears almost black in some lighting but reveals a subtle translucent plum-grey tone when viewed against the light. Each goblet stands on a heavy clear glass foot incorporating a controlled air bubble, a feature often found in quality art glass of the period.
The glasses are unmarked, and while the maker is unknown, they are in the style of Scandinavian mid-century art glass.
Suitable for use as wine glasses or as decorative pieces within a mid-century or contemporary interior.
