An unusual pair of vintage novelty bottle pipes, each cleverly concealed within the form of a miniature bottle.
Both examples unscrew and assemble to form a functional smoking pipe, with wooden bodies and metal fittings. One is finished in a light figured wood, possibly sycamore or similar hardwood, while the second has a dark stained finish.
The darker example appears to be the earlier of the two and is hand-inscribed to the cap with the date 1907 together with the initials "FF". It has a firmer screw action and feels more substantially made. The lighter example has no visible maker's marks.
Interesting novelty smoking accessories that display well whether assembled or in their bottle form.

Condition
Good vintage condition. Both examples screw together correctly and assemble into smoking pipes. Age-related wear, marks and surface rubbing are present, particularly to the caps and metal fittings. The darker example has a stiffer screw action. Untested for smoking use and offered as collectors' items. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
