French Couesnon & Cie brass antique Cornet c1928 with original mouthpiece
We are selling this uncleaned -we were going to polish it up and clean out the insides etc but felt it would loose its character -so the new owner can decide if they would like to or not we thought
Nearly 100 years old this instrument was made by the Parisian firm Couesnon & Cie.
Couesnon & Cie was a renowned French musical instrument manufacturer, particularly famous for its brass instruments. The company was established in 1827 in Chateau Thierry just outside of Paris and gained prominence under the leadership of Amedee Coueson who took over in 1883
Couesnon & Cie produced a wide range of instruments, including brass, woodwinds, and percussion. They were especially known for their flugelhorns which became popular among jazz musicians in the 1950's.
condition of this instrument is as per the images and video - It would benefit from a clean as mentioned, has a few dints and light scratches but overall this antique piece is in good aesthetic order - untested as I don't play!
