The hill climbs came about as a result of the Valence School open days which started not long after it opened. Essentially a fund raising event for the residents (who were and still are physically and mentally handicapped) motoring displays were an early feature that eventually led to the very short hill climb

A collectors dream - we have quite a few vintage motor racing programs for sale so please have a look
