Boxed Sterling Silver Garnet Cabochon Pendant

A distinctive sterling silver pendant set with a large rectangular garnet cabochon in a deep wine-red colour.

The gemstone has been identified as garnet from the original stock bag in which this pendant was found. As the bag contained several gemstone pendants, including garnet, labradorite, moonstone and malachite, the stone has not been independently gem-tested.

The polished cabochon is surrounded by a handcrafted-looking silver mount with decorative bead details and a substantial looped bail. The bail is stamped 925, while the unmarked surrounding mount has tested as high-grade silver.

CONDITION

Good pre-owned condition with surface marks, scratches and tarnishing consistent with age and use. The polished stone has some visible surface wear.

We do not heavily clean vintage silver jewellery, leaving its new owner the choice of retaining the existing patina or polishing it to their preferred finish.
