A fine mid-20th century cameo glass vase signed VAL (Verreries d’Art Lorrain), France. This striking piece features a soft frosted orange ground with acid-etched floral decoration, giving depth and contrast to the design.
Please note: the first image maybe an enhanced presentation image. For an accurate representation of condition, including any wear or age-related marks, please refer to the additional photographs provided.
Adding to its uniqueness, the vase retains its original hammered metal collar, also signed Val, an uncommon feature that enhances both its decorative appeal and collector value.
Verreries d’Art Lorrain produced these vases in the 1950s–1970s, following in the tradition of Émile Gallé and the Nancy School, whose Art Nouveau cameo glass pieces inspired this revival. The combination of bold colour, textured surface, and metal-mounted rim makes this a standout decorative object from the period.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with light age-related wear. No cracks or structural damage. Collar securely attached but spins nicely
Dimensions: 18.5cm tall
A beautiful example of French cameo glass, perfect for collectors of Art Nouveau revival glassware or as a decorative accent with vintage character
