A functioning vintage American wooden whirligig, measuring approximately 450 mm in overall length and featuring a 28 cm diameter windmill.
Hand-painted in polychrome—featuring a figure in a green jacket, yellow trousers, and a red cap—this kinetic sculpture depicts a woodsman operating a sawhorse. A solid red tail fin serves as a directional weather vane, turning the four-blade windmill to drive the articulated sawing motion via a wire crank mechanism.
Constructed in the Americana folk art tradition, the piece is structurally sound, in working order, and designed for mounting directly on a fence post or exterior stake.
