A superb vintage Beswick eagle whisky decanter, produced for Peter Thomson Ltd, Perth, Scotland in 1969. This striking ceramic bottle is shaped as a proud eagle perched on a rock, with beautiful glaze work in rich browns and umber tones.
Modelled by renowned artist G. Tongue, this bottle was originally filled with Beneagles Scotch whisky, a promotional line known for its high-quality ceramic figural bottles. This particular decanter is now empty and stands at 11cm tall.
The base retains its original printed markings and traces of the foil label around the bottle neck. A fantastic display piece for collectors of whisky memorabilia, British ceramics, or mid-century design.
