Vintage Brass Trench Art Style Spitfire Plane & Galleon Ship Sculptures Pair

A pair of vintage brass decorative ornaments comprising a stylised fighter aircraft mounted on a brass stand together with a hand-crafted sailing galleon.

The galleon has been constructed from hand-cut brass with individually formed sails and engraved initials to the hull, including CDM. Both pieces have the appearance and construction often associated with trench art. As no provenance accompanies them, they are offered as trench art style pieces and buyers should satisfy themselves as to age and origin.

The aircraft depicts a WWII-era fighter in the style of a Spitfire or Hurricane and is mounted on a shaped brass stand. The propeller rotates freely.

These display well together and would suit collectors of trench art, military memorabilia, aviation, maritime antiques or vintage brasswork.
