A substantial and authentic vintage English pewter quart tankard, expertly crafted in the early 20th century, bearing clear historical maker's and official crown-verification control marks.
This piece features a classic baluster-style body with a flared foot rim and a sturdy, comfortable cast handle. The upper rim is officially stamped with the capacity designation "QUART", alongside government verification stamps consisting of the crowned "GR" royal cipher (King George V era control mark used between 1910 and 1936), inspector/verifier number "346", and the individual workstation or office inspector code. The manufacturer's circular touchmark near the handle reads "R. DAVIS & SONS - OLD KENT RD." (London), confirming its production by the esteemed firm on the Old Kent Road.
