The lighter has a reassuring weight of 108 grams and displays the crisp, confident lid action expected from Dupont, opening and closing with a clean snap. The flint ignition system is present and functioning correctly. The lighter is supplied empty of gas for safe posting.
The base is stamped “S.T. Dupont Paris – Made in France” and carries the serial number 1J2BU05, consistent with Dupont factory numbering formats used in the later 20th century.
