A charming piece of British model railway history, this is an original Hornby Dublo D1 Through Station by Meccano Ltd, made in England in the 1950s.
Complete with matching side platforms and original Newark station signs, this iconic plastic station features Art Deco styling, a two-tone roof, and textured detail throughout.
The set includes the main station building, two curved platform ramps, and the original blue Hornby box, which is still presentable despite wear from age. A fantastic display item or layout centrepiece for any Dublo or OO gauge railway enthusiast.
The underside is clearly marked:
HORNBY-DUBLO – MECCANO LTD – MADE IN ENGLAND
A classic collector’s piece, especially desirable when found with the original packaging.
Condition:
Good vintage condition. Some light surface wear and signs of use, one hairline crack underneath (does not affect display). Box has age-related wear and minor tape repairs. Complete and structurally sound. Please see photos for full condition details.
