A striking and authentic mid-century Hornby Dublo Mobilgas tank wagon, model D1 No. 32084, made in England by Meccano Ltd, Liverpool. This OO gauge model features a vivid red cylindrical tank with bold Mobil branding and twin “Pegasus” Mobilgas and Mobiloil shields on each side.
Constructed from metal with original black diecast underframe, it includes authentic wire bracing, couplings, and wheelsets. The underside is clearly marked “Hornby Dublo” and “Meccano Ltd”, confirming its early postwar manufacture (late 1950s–early 1960s).
This example comes complete with its original blue striped Hornby Dublo box, printed with multi-language end panel, and shows only minor shelf wear. The tank itself retains excellent colour and gloss, with crisp decal lettering and no major paint loss — ideal for collectors or a period OO layout.
