A refined vintage Japanese studio pottery vase, crafted in an elegant bottle form and finished with a soft celadon bubble-glaze.
The surface displays an intricate marbled pattern created during the firing process, giving the piece a beautiful depth of colour and texture. The pale turquoise-green glaze shimmers subtly under the light, making this vase a striking display object.
The vase measures 19.5 cm in height and comes complete with its original kiri (paulownia wood) presentation box, inscribed with calligraphy and seal marks. These signed wooden boxes (tomobako) are typically reserved for high-quality works and add significant provenance and collectability.
This piece is in very good vintage condition with only light, age-appropriate signs of wear. A wonderful addition to any Japanese ceramics collection, perfect for mid-century interiors, wabi-sabi inspired décor, or as a thoughtful gift.
