A vintage Sadler ceramic teapot featuring the Elizabeth I commemorative design, produced in Staffordshire in the late 20th century. The body shows portraits of Elizabeth I and leading Elizabethan figures, with a domed lid decorated with a Spanish Armada scene and gilt finial. The base carries the Sadler 4442 mark and registered design number 2010605.
The teapot has a distinctive castellated rim and an octagonal foot, typical of this series. It measures approximately 18cm across and presents well as a display piece.
