This is a vintage Swift Hand Sighting Level, manufactured by Swift & Anderson Inc. of Boston, USA. A compact, handheld leveling tool, it was marketed for both professional and home use.
The instrument is housed in a robust metal casing with brass ends and features a built-in bubble level. It comes complete with the original illustrated instruction leaflet and the original (worn) retail box.
