Vintage Swiss Watch Movement Job Lot – Omega 620, Rodania and W&H

An interesting job lot of three loose vintage Swiss mechanical watch movements with their original dials, offered for restoration, repair, display or use as watchmaker’s spares.

The lot comprises an Omega calibre 620 movement with an aged champagne-gold-tone dial, a small Rodania 17-jewel movement which is currently ticking, and a W&H dial fitted to a Swiss Crusader movement marked “15 Rubies”.

The Omega is the standout piece. Its movement is marked “Omega Watch Co Swiss”, “17 Jewels”, “Adjusted Two Positions” and calibre 620, with serial number 24592529. This number suggests a date of approximately 1966–67. It is incomplete, with its winding crown and one hand missing.

The Rodania is the smallest of the three. It is marked “Rodania”, “17 Jewels” and “Swiss” and has started ticking readily whenever handled. This is only an observation rather than a guarantee of its accuracy or continued operation.

The largest piece has a W&H Swiss-made dial with attractive blued hands. Its movement is marked “Crusader” and “15 Rubies”. The dial measures approximately 20mm across.

CONDITION

Vintage watch movements in visibly aged and incomplete condition.

All three dials display substantial wear, including discolouration, spotting, surface deterioration, marks and losses around their edges. The Omega is missing its winding crown and one hand. The other two retain crowns and hands, although their completeness has not been professionally assessed.

The Rodania currently ticks when picked up or handled, but it has not been tested for accuracy, power reserve or sustained operation. The Omega and Crusader movements have not been tested and no claim is made that they run.

None of the movements has been serviced or professionally inspected. Their service histories are unknown and they may have missing, worn, replaced or defective components. They are sold strictly for restoration, repair, display or spare parts, with no guarantee of accuracy, completeness or future operation.
